Like many small businesses, my beauty venture was decimated by lock downs and social distancing restrictions but I made the most of the opportunity and moved part of my beauty business online.
I put my teaching qualifications to good use and devised and hosted a number of evening and daytime online workshops on subjects such as aromatherapy, self-massage and make-up. To make the online experience special, relevant products including cleansers, face oil and tea light candles were sent in the post for my clients to use during the workshop.
I was delighted to be fully booked once we were able to actually open but the online workshops enabled me to keep in touch with existing clients as well as engage with new customers in a fun and engaging way.
I was also asked for online skin consultations and I tried to replicate the salon experience, I was particularly pleased with my Mother and Daughter Pamper session for Mother’s Day featuring a cleansing, toning and moisturising morning facial routine which was shared even when mums and daughters were apart.
Now that things are back to normal I can’t wait to get back to face to face networking and more hands on treatments, I have felt extremely grateful to have had the support from my clients who put their trust in me and continued to visit me for their regular treatments and supported my online events!
